Nick Saban, head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide, is excited about an upcoming NFL game featuring two of his former star quarterbacks, Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts

Tagovailoa now plays for the Miami Dolphins, while Hurts is with the Philadelphia Eagles, and they will face off in a marquee Week 7 NFL matchup

Saban expressed his pride in the journey of these two talented players, who transitioned from playing at Alabama to their current roles in the NFL

Both Tagovailoa and Hurts had previously led the Alabama Crimson Tide

Saban emphasized the unique bond and competition between Tagovailoa and Hurts during their time at Alabama, making this NFL matchup even more special

Jalen Hurts initially led the Crimson Tide to consecutive College Football Playoff national championship games in 2016 and 2017

In the 2017 championship game, Tagovailoa replaced Hurts at halftime, leading to a dramatic comeback victory over Georgia

Tagovailoa became the starting quarterback in 2018, with Hurts taking on a supporting role

Coach Nick Saban played a crucial role in convincing Jalen Hurts to stay an extra year at Alabama to work on his passing skills

Saban also praised Tua Tagovailoa's performance in the NFL, highlighting his quick decision-making, understanding of the offense, and success in leading the league in passing yards and touchdown passes
