Steven Yeun is set to play the role of Sentry (Robert Reynolds) in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie, Thunderbolts

Sentry, first introduced in 2000, is a superhero with the power of 'a million suns' but starts as an overweight, middle-aged individual named Robert Reynolds, who gradually recalls his superhero identity

The character originated in The Sentry #1 and later featured in various Marvel series, including New Avengers, The Mighty Avengers, and Dark Avengers

Sentry's archenemy, the Void, poses a threat, leading Reynolds to seek assistance from other Marvel heroes. A plot twist reveals that Reynolds and the Void are two halves of the same person

Similar to Spider-Man: No Way Home, Reynolds removed all memories of the Sentry from the world, ensuring his dual identity remained concealed

The revelation about Yeun's role came during an interview with comic book artist David Finch, confirming his portrayal of the Sentry in Thunderbolts

Yeun's Sentry costume draws inspiration from the character's classic colors, resembling those worn by Invincible, another superhero role played by Yeun

Yeun humorously noted that both his superhero roles, Sentry and Invincible, share the color scheme of yellow and blue

During the interview, Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead, casually shared details about Yeun's costume fitting and color choices, stating he isn't worried about potential spoilers
